London Brick Lane – Amy
We had a fabulous day this Sunday down in the Brick Lane area with our model for the day, Amy.
Amy did an exceptional job, for only her third day out modelling. Additionally the group shot some amazing work that was so good to see as we progressed through the day. My workshops are never about me getting the key shots and by the end of the day I was very jealous of the work I was seeing on the backs of the cameras. Such an extremely high standard of work.
A big thank you (I know I am speaking for Amy as well) to the group for the very kind gift at the end of the day for her. That was a lovely thought.
A few pix below of mine. I was just doing a few in-between at the beginning for Amy! Amy, if you are reading, I think there are better ones to come for you from the group 🙁
Another day the same with Amy in three weeks, fully booked but I will be adding a third date in the autumn as I have a waiting list. Legacy lens day in August, one place left. n
The very last image is the demo shot using flash at 1/1000 sec without High Speed Sync. This is because the X100 has a leaf shutter and will work at higher shutter speeds, allows the flash to have a higher output as well as allowing the flash to be used from a distance. This allows a darker wall background but the flash exposes for the skin tones. I have left this un-cropped and you can see how dark the sky is in the top edge compared to the bright sunny day we had!
